Solarball works like a tiny desalination plant, it works by evaporating water by using the power of the sun. It is small and easy to manufacture and it works wherever there is a sufficient sunlight. Jon Liow, a graduate of Monash University in Australia, created the Solarball after a trip to Cambodia. It’s not a miracle worker though, it only cleans 3 litres of water a day. But in a place where clean water is rare, that is a significant improvement.
