Opera Mobile Store

Opera has publicized a new app store called the Opera Mobile Store, right now it offers both free and paid apps for almost all platform ranging from Android, Symbian and even Blackberry. It doesn’t however have support for Maemo/Meego and iOS but i guess Java apps can still be use on it.

During it’s Pre-release state, Opera reported to have 15 million users in February with 700,000 downloads everyday, making it among the more popular Mobile App store available in the world.

The Opera Mobile Store is actually a collaboration between Opera and Appia, formerly known as PocketGear and it literally doubles the user base for Appia to 100 million users. With Opera being the #1 mobile browser among the other browsers, freshly installed Opera Mobile will have Opera Mobile Store in the speed dial and hopefully that will attract more users to the store.

Opera Mobile Store can be access at mobilestore.opera.com/ using your PC but it is better if you access it from your phone.
